So many bad things happening all around the world and yet last night I was singing and dancing and feeling pretty darn good. No, I haven't lost my mind, but I also don't want to wallow in the negativity. One of my secret weapons is music.
The soundtrack of our lives is what someone once called music. (I think it was Dick Clark). For me music is a surefire cure for the blues and also a great way to keep the heart pumping. Oh and I'm especially lucky because I really like all kinds of music. Last night I started with hip-hop and then moved on to classic top 40 from the 60s and 70s and slowed it down at bedtime with some smooth jazz. A great way to make dinner and get the other housework done.
Now I know this blog isn't about me, but I thought I would share this music idea. It's pretty much how I roll all the time. Try it. It doesn't change things. The bad is still there, and I'm not suggesting that we had from our troubles, but if we tackle things with a positive attitude, we have a much better chance of succeeding. It's especially easy these days too with so many streaming services, many of which are free.
This morning I woke up with country music on the radio. It wasn't my choice, but I found myself enjoying it! Happy Wednesday everyone!
